Kendal Charitable Funds Update

For many years, Kendal Charitable Funds (KCF) has provided grant funding to support impactful initiatives and programs internally within the Kendal system, as well as to non-profits in the wider world who also support a positive perspective on aging and offer solutions to help positively transform the experience for all older adults.

KCF is seeking new ways to make deeper, more meaningful alliances and relationships with all Kendal affiliated-organizations, grantees, corporate funding partners, and in the broader field of aging services. The Kendal Charitable Funds board wants to share the news around all the good work happening, celebrate successes, recognize and thank our supporters and partners.

In this effort, a number of things have been happening to move toward this goal. In collaboration with The Kendal Corporation’s marketing team, news and updates are posted regularly on the Kendal.org webpage and social media accounts, Kendal Charitable Funds now has its own LinkedIn showcase page, more visible recognition is given in the Kendal Annual Report around corporate partner support, and articles are included in The Kendal Corporation’s e-newsletter, Forefront.

Most recently, the board saw fit to invest more deeply in its relationship with AKCG to leverage the existing collaboration and expand on it with a News & Updates digest that will contain articles specifically written to share Kendal Charitable Funds news and celebrate successes while also helping to inform the various constituencies about activities and initiatives.

There is much excitement about this new level of focus, communication, and awareness. We are hopeful that these efforts will benefit not only Kendal Charitable Funds but also the Affiliates and those in the local community. The more awareness there is about KCF’s mission and purpose, the more individuals will be willing to support it, which will lead to more older adults benefiting from these efforts.
